Project Specifications & Infrastructure
Covering 21,335 m² (approx. 32 mu), Dahang New Energy's Sonid Left Banner 200MWh Energy Storage Station deploys a 100MW/200MWh system with 314Ah LFP battery cells. Configured in outdoor prefabricated enclosures, the facility comprises 40 battery cabins and 20 PCS cabins. A newly constructed 110kV booster station connects to Mandula 220kV substation via a single-circuit 110kV transmission line.
Grid Integration & Regional Impact
This project addresses critical energy challenges in Xilingol League. As renewable generation expands, it enhances grid peak/frequency regulation capabilities while improving local renewable consumption. The station delivers essential ancillary services—including peak shaving and frequency control—to alleviate balancing pressures on Inner Mongolia's western grid. During low-load periods, it stores surplus wind/solar power for time-shifted utilization, boosting grid reliability and power quality through peak shaving and valley filling. By optimizing grid operational efficiency, the initiative accelerates regional energy transition and provides robust support for socioeconomic sustainable development.
