Project Timeline & Technical Configuration
Commencing construction on September 14, 2024, and achieving grid connection in January 2025, this project deploys a 100MW/400MWh energy storage system comprising a vanadium flow battery (5MW/20MWh) and an LFP battery (95MW/380MWh). The development includes a new 220kV booster station along with auxiliary supporting facilities and access roads.
Grid Integration Benefits
When integrated into the power grid, the energy storage facility will significantly enhance peaking capacity, alleviate backfeed pressure on substations during renewable generation peaks, and improve local renewable energy consumption. It strengthens absorption capability for renewable plants constrained by transmission corridors, reduces regional peak-valley load differences, and thereby defers or eliminates the need for additional power generation and grid infrastructure. This initiative plays a vital role in optimizing grid operations and advancing renewable energy utilization efficiency.
