Grid-Sharing Storage,100MW/200MWh
Energy storage capacity: 100MW/200MWh
ESS Configuration:60 units 20-ft liquid-cooled container ESS

Project Context & Significance
As China’s first National New Energy Comprehensive Demonstration Zone, Ningxia faces challenges from the intermittent, volatile, and stochastic nature of renewable energy generation. With renewables constituting a high proportion of regional grid capacity, the area grapples with a power supply paradox characterized by daytime surplus and nighttime deficit. To address this, the 100MW/200MWh Shared Energy Storage Project was established under clear peak-shaving subsidies and grid connection policies. This station provides regional renewable plants with peak-shaving and frequency regulation services, mitigating generation fluctuations and reducing curtailment rates. It advances Ningxia’s integrated "source-grid-load-storage" development and multi-energy complementarity, playing a vital role in building a modern energy ecosystem that is clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient.

Technical Implementation
Ancheng Nengke’s "Ningxia Guokai Chu New Energy Co., Ltd. Tongli 100MW/200MWh Shared Energy Storage Station" occupies 21,329 m² (32 mu) in Litong District. The facility deploys 30 sets of 3.45MW/6.7MWh energy storage units alongside advanced storage equipment, supported by ancillary structures including an administration building and switchgear rooms.

Operational & Environmental Impact
The project enhances renewable energy utilization efficiency through technological innovation, ensuring grid stability and alleviating power supply pressures. By actively responding to energy conservation mandates, Ancheng Nengke contributes to developing a green-oriented power system characterized by reliability and sustainability. This initiative unlocks the potential of clean energy while optimizing electricity resource allocation, establishing a robust foundation for Ningxia’s sustainable development.
